Agreement to terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of pfp-forge, a service provided by braid ai labs, LLC ("we", "our", or "us"). By creating an account or using the service you agree to these Terms. If you're accepting on behalf of an organization, you confirm that you have authority to bind that organization.
Description of the service
pfp-forge is a hosted avatar generation product. You can buy one-time credit packs, sign in with a magic link or supported OAuth provider, choose a mascot and theme, add a display name and optional details, generate profile-picture artwork, view your avatar history, and download generated PNG files.
One avatar credit produces one avatar generation attempt. If a generation fails because of a service-side error and is marked failed in our system, that failed attempt should not reduce your credit balance.
Account terms
You're responsible for the activity on your account, for keeping sign-in links and sessions secure, and for ensuring anyone who uses your account or purchase link follows these Terms. You must be able to form a binding contract to create an account or make a purchase.
Your inputs and avatars
You retain ownership of the text and other content you submit. You grant us a limited license to host, process, transmit, display, and store your mascot choices, theme choices, display name, optional details, generated prompt, and generated avatar images for the purpose of operating pfp-forge.
Subject to these Terms and applicable law, you may use downloaded avatar images for personal or commercial profile-picture use. We do not guarantee that generated avatars are unique, that similar images will not be generated for other users, or that a generated avatar will be free from third-party rights claims.
Optional reference photos
You may optionally upload a photo to subtly influence the face or look of a generated mascot, including a photo of yourself or a pet photo you have the right to use. By uploading a photo, you confirm that you have the right to use it for this purpose . If the photo contains a person, that person must be you or someone who has knowingly agreed to its use. You must not upload photos of minors, public figures, or anyone who has not agreed to it, and you must not use reference photos to impersonate, harass, defame, or otherwise violate the rights of another person.
Reference photos are forwarded to the third-party image-model provider that powers the generation and are not stored or retained by pfp-forge . The image-model provider's processing of the photo is governed by that provider's own terms and privacy policy. You grant us a limited, transient license to transmit the photo for the sole purpose of producing the requested avatar. The generated avatar is treated like any other generated avatar under these Terms.
We may refuse, cancel, or remove a generation that we reasonably believe involves a reference photo used in violation of this section or our Acceptable Use rules.
AI-generated results
Avatar generation is automated and may produce unexpected, inaccurate, or unusable results. You are responsible for reviewing your selections before using a credit. We do not refund credits for changed preferences or prompts that produce a style you do not like.
Acceptable use
You agree not to use pfp-forge to:
- Violate any law or the rights of others.
- Submit prompts, names, or details that infringe, impersonate deceptively, harass, threaten, or exploit another person.
- Submit sensitive personal information or content involving minors in a sexual, exploitative, or otherwise unsafe context.
- Upload malicious code, attempt to interfere with the service, or evade rate limits.
- Reverse engineer the service or attempt to extract source code, except where explicitly permitted by law.
- Resell, sublicense, or rent the service without our consent.
Payment terms
pfp-forge sells one-time avatar credit packs. There is no subscription, no recurring billing, and no automatic renewal. Credits do not expire while your account remains active and the service is available, but they have no cash value and are not transferable unless we say otherwise in writing.
Payments are processed through Stripe Checkout. Prices, taxes, and any promotions are shown at checkout. Fees are non-refundable except as required by law or stated in writing. If payment fails or is reversed, we may withhold or remove the related credits.
Service level
We work to keep pfp-forge reliable, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted service. From time to time we'll perform scheduled maintenance and may need to take parts of the service offline to respond to incidents. Avatar generation speed and availability may vary based on demand and third-party infrastructure.
Changes to the service
We may change, suspend, discontinue, or shut down all or part of pfp-forge at any time, with or without notice. If the service or an avatar generation feature is discontinued, unused credits may become unusable and will not be refunded, credited, exchanged, or converted to cash except where required by law or expressly stated by us in writing.
Termination
You can stop using pfp-forge at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms, if required by law, if payment is reversed, or if your account presents a security or abuse risk. After termination we may retain records as described in our Privacy Policy, including records needed for tax, accounting, fraud prevention, or legal purposes.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, pfp-forge is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. We won't be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, or data. Our total liability for any claim is capped at the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim.
Indemnification
You agree to defend us against, and hold us harmless from, any third-party claim arising out of your content, your use of the service in violation of these Terms, or your violation of applicable law.
Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms as the service evolves. If a change is material we'll notify you by email or in the product before it takes effect. Continued use of pfp-forge after the effective date means you accept the updated Terms.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute will be resolved in the courts located in that jurisdiction, unless your local law provides otherwise.
